May 1, 2010 - Annual Wooden Boat Show - Held in downtown Beaufort, NC. Enjoy activities and exhibits on display at the NC Maritime Museum, the museum's Watercraft Center and at the museum's expansion site at Gallants Channel, with free parking available. For over 30 years the North Carolina Maritime Museum's Annual Wooden Boat Show has provided an exciting venue for owners and builders of wooden boats to come together to show and operate their boats. Workshops, demonstrations, launchings, races, and other educational programs have served to expand the public's awareness of the very special properties of wooden boats. May 1, 2010 - Coastal Women’s Fair - Coastal Women’s Fair is presented by the Carteret County Women’s Resource Center at the Crystal Coast Civic Center, Morehead City. Entertainment, food, vendors silent auction and Crystal Coast women's service providers are available throughout the day, 10 am-4 pm. Admission is $1. May 7 - 8, 2010 - Annual Beaufort-by-the-Sea Music Festival - A weekend of live music and concerts on multiple stages in Downtown Beaufort NC and on the waterfront. A family oriented weekend event with free music and activities for all family members. Concerts will be performed on the Beaufort waterfront, and in the North Carolina Maritime Museum as well as in pubs and restaurants. The fun continues around town all weekend! May 14 - 15, 2010 - Quilt Show - The Crystal Coast Quilt Guild's annual judged Quilt Show and Merchant Mall is at the Crystal Coast Civic Center, Morehead City, NC. See Eastern North Carolina's best in contemporary quilting arts. For more information call (252)247-3883.

May 14 - 16, 2010 - Morehead City Family Boating & In-Water Boat Show - Visit boating exhibits including the Coast Guard. Auxiliary's Boating Safety exhibits and programs which will begin Boating Safety Week. Tour in-water and on shore power boats. Enjoy band concerts, always a guaranteed crowd pleaser. May 14 - 15, 2010 - Harley-Davidson Spring Rally - Carolina Coast Harley-Davidson Dealer's Association Spring Rally at the New Bern Fairgrounds, 3700 US Hwy 70 East, New Bern, NC. The Tradition Continues in historic New Bern, located at the confluence of two rivers with a picturesque downtown waterfront district and a 30 minute motorcycle ride to the beaches. The rally will begin on Friday with gates open from 10am-10pm and last thru Saturday from 10am-6pm. Saturday evening the rally will move to downtown New Bern for a Block Party with live bands and many streets designated to motorcycles only. The Ride in Bike Show event will be on Saturday with an entry fee of $10. Registration will take place from 10am-12pm. Bike games will take place on Saturday along with a Harley-Davidson Dealers Sale Mall, bands, vendors and drag racing competitions. Admission is $10 good for both days. May 15, 2010 - New Bern Car Show - from Held in conjunction with New Bern’s 300th Anniversary, the Antique Automobile Club of America will celebrate its 75th Anniversary. Set eyes upon close to 700 antique cars with each magnificent automobile at least 25 years old. Car models range from 1899-1992. May 21 - 23, 2010 - MCAS Cherry Point Air Show - One of the state’s longest running air shows highlighting the latest in Marine Corps war fighting technology & military aviation. May 4 Night Show features afterburners, rocket trucks, pyrotechnics, skydivers, wall-of-flame & area’s largest fireworks display. Gates open at 5pm, flying begins at twilight. Full day airshows May 5 & 6 featuring a variety of military & civilian aerobatic demonstrations, plus dozens of historic & modern military static displays. For more information call 866-WINGS-NC.

May 29 - 30, 2010 - Spring Art Show - An annual juried show and sale of the Carteret County Arts & Crafts Coalition, is located at Beaufort Historic Site. Show hours are Sat., 10:00 AM-5:00 PM; Sun., 12:00 noon-5:00 PM. For more information call Kris White at (252) 729-9311.
