September 4 - 5, 2010 - Carteret County Fall Show - Juried sale of arts and crafts of coastal artisans held three weekends a year. Held at the Beaufort Historic Site on Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day, and at another venue for a three week show between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this is the perfect occasion to browse and buy the work of coastal artists and craftsmen. September 11 – 12, 2010 - Bike MS: Historic New Bern Ride - Held in New Bern. The Bike MS: Historic New Bern Ride is a two-day cycling event that raises over $1.5 million for the National MS Society. With three route options including a 30, 75 and 100 mile route, Bike MS appeals to over 2,100 cyclists making it the largest cycling event in the entire state. September 16, 2010 - Beach Jive After Five - 5:30-7:30pm. Enjoy live music and the tranquil ocean breeze. Bring chairs, blankets, even dinner! Access also features volleyball courts, picnic tables and restrooms. Alcoholic beverages prohibited. Western Ocean Regional Access (WORA) in Emerald Isle. September 17 - 19, 2010 - Crystal Coast Super Boat Grand Prix - Annual Crystal Coast Super Boat Grand Prix on the Morehead City Waterfront. Last year’s event was so successful that Morehead City has earned a permanent spot on the racing calendar. Watch the Super Boat races from the Morehead City waterfront, one of the best places for up-close audience viewing on the racing circuit. For more information call (305) 296-6166.

September 18, 2010 - Day4Kids - 10am-2pm. Bringing adults and children of all ages together for a fun-filled day of vendors, activities, games, face painting and more. September 25 - 26, 2010 - North Carolina Spot Festival - Annual Spot Festival - amusement rides & midway open evening of Sept. 22, spot dinners, live musical entertainment, rides, arts & crafts at the Topsail High School, Hampstead, NC. For more information call (888)576-4756.

September 25 - October 9, 2010 - Annual Flounder Surf Fishing Tournament - Free registration (August 29-September 23) and excellent prizes! All flounder must be caught by fishing on foot (surf, pier, inlet, sound) from Fort Macon to Emerald Isle. Sponsored by Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation and The Reel Outdoors. September 25 - 26, 2010 - Carteret County Numismatic Coin Show - Coins collectors from near and far travel to this annual event to view, sell, swap and trade coins of all types. This show is hosted by the local Numismatic Coin Club and is a popular event. Held at the Crystal Coast Civic Center, Morehead City, NC. For more information call (252)247-3883.
